FILM: Catch ‘The End of the Line’ in Toronto this weekend

atlanticcod-copyThe great new film The End of the Line will be screening starting this Friday in Toronto at the Royal Cinema on College. Based on the book by Charles Clover, the documentary is really the first that show the impact our insatiable appetite for seafood and the global fishing industry’s quest to meet growing demand is having on our oceans and those that rely on the ocean’s bounty for their livelihood and primary sources of protein. Through a series of case studies the film shows what all of us, including consumers, retailers, restaurant owners, fishermen, fish farmers, should and shouldn’t be doing if we want to ensure fish for the future.

Greenpeace UK has been closely involved in the making of the film and check out their site for more information including a Q&A with journalist/star of the film Charles Clover at http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/blog/oceans/end-line-20090605
